The Mediterranean coastal road is one of Turkey’s most stunning drives. From Alanya westward to Kaş and Kekova, it is a true road-trip classic, full of hidden bays, pine forests, ancient ruins and breathtaking sea views.

Route and stops

Alanya → Side → Antalya → Kemer → Finike → Kaş → Kekova. Highlights like Olympos, Çıralı and Demre (ancient Myra, Church of St Nicholas) await along the way. In Kekova, don’t miss seeing the sunken city by boat.

Duration and planning

Since it is about 5–6 hours of driving each way, it’s best to plan this route over at least 2 days with an overnight stay. Driving unhurried, with breaks, lets you enjoy it most.

Car and tips

For the winding, sometimes steep coastal road, a comfortable, ideally automatic car is ideal. Fill up before you set off, stop safely at viewpoints and drive in daylight. On all cars: pay on pickup.
