Insurance is the key to driving with peace of mind. To avoid nasty surprises on holiday, it helps to know the basic insurance concepts. In this post we explain coverage, its relation to the deposit and what to do in an accident, in plain language.

What does each insurance cover?

All our cars are offered with the legally required third-party traffic insurance, which covers damage to others. For damage to the car itself, additional options (comprehensive / damage liability reduction) may be offered. At booking you clearly learn which coverage is included.

What is comprehensive cover for?

Comprehensive cover (full or partial) reduces or eliminates the amount you pay out of pocket for at-fault or collision damage to the car. For guests covering many kilometres or wanting peace of mind, extra cover is a sensible choice.

Relation to the deposit

With broader cover, the chance of your deposit being used after damage decreases. Clarifying the link between deposit and coverage prevents unexpected costs.

What to do in an accident?

First ensure safety and call 112 if needed. Then call our emergency line (+90 534 510 94 01); we guide you step by step. For material-damage accidents, take photos and file a report if required.

Tip

Photograph existing scratches before handover; it speeds up the return and prevents disputes. On all our cars: pay on pickup.
